I’m not Catholic ... so, how do I know when to sit, stand and kneel?
The annual issue of Breaking Bread with Readings (located in each pew holder) serves as a guide to the Order of Mass, the liturgical year, various sacraments and rites of the Church. The Scripture readings, psalms, prayers, songs and ritual music of the liturgical assembly are a surce of inspiration and formation. The Christian community, strengthened and transformed, is thus sent forth into the world. This missal also serves as a resource for the domestic church and catechumens in preparation for the celebration of the Church's liturgy.
I’m not Catholic ... is it okay for me to participate in communion?
While it may seem fitting to join in the Communion Procession; Holy Communion is reserved for those who have been Baptized, Confirmed, and received the Eucharist as Catholics. If this has not been your faith journey it would not be appropriate to receive Holy Communion. Please remain standing in your pew.
Am I expected to put money in the offering?
Our main source of income is derived from these weekly offerings. While it is not expected, it is encouraged.
I have a hearing problem. Is there any special assistance?
We have four hearing assistance receivers which are located near the statue of Mary located in the front of church. There are earbuds there as well for you to keep and reuse each time you come to Mass. We ask that you keep the set of earbuds for your personal use at Mass each week and return the receiver to the charging station after each Mass so they get recharged and others can use them. For those with a "Telcoil" hearing system in their hearing aids, we also have two "Telcoil" devices. Please call the Parish Office for instructions on use.
